Chris Hammett, an award-winning Chef and restaurateur, is the visionary behind Hammett's Collection—a growing Mediterranean restaurant company known for its innovative dining concepts and culinary excellence. With a Mediterranean upbringing that revolved around family and seasonal produce, Chris's passion for cuisine was nurtured from an early age. He honed his skills at Le Cordon Bleu in London, where he mastered classic French cuisine and modern culinary techniques.

After completing his Le Cordon Bleu Diplome de Cuisine in 2009, Chris returned to Malta, where he launched his first venture, 'The Villa Brasserie,' a modern Mediterranean restaurant. After nearly a decade of success as Head Chef, he went on to create Hammett's Collection, bringing together his former award-winning kitchen and front-of-house team.

The collection's first establishment in 2017 was Hammett's Gastro Bar, offering a unique, city-inspired social dining experience. This was followed by Hammett's Maċina Restaurant, situated within a 16th-century fortification, serving modern Mediterranean cuisine with a nod to the island's history and earning a Michelin plate recognition. Atop a UNESCO World Heritage site, The Sheer Bastion, the collection's third venture, hosts celebrations with impeccable canapés and dishes crafted from the finest local, seasonal ingredients.

In 2020, the collection expanded with Hammett's Mestizo, introducing a South American dining experience. In 2023, a sister restaurant was opened in Menorca, Spain, expanding beyond the local shores. Additionally, Hammett's Monastik, a sustainability-focused local produce concept, joined the portfolio in 2022.More recently, Chris Hammett has continued to make waves in the culinary industry by taking on the role of CEO at Corinthia Caterers, Malta's largest outside catering company. This move has allowed him to further impact the local culinary scene, including areas like airline, industrial, and contract catering.
